tablespoon per dose, for calves still
on bucket milk. Luke had a bad
problem with Crypto - a bacterial virus
that attacks the stomach walls and
makes them hard to the point where
no nutrition can be absorbed - and
tried our 911 paste and Probiotic
paste with no luck. He then tried our
In-Sure bacterium. When a calf is
diagnosed with Crypto, he mixes
15-30 ml with water in a 30cc syringe
and squirts it directly down the calves'
throat. Calves that have a high
temperature or a bad respiratory case
(if they are already on In-Sure) do not
go off of feed. If he has a calf that
goes off of feed and is not on In-Sure,
he gives them a tablespoon twice
daily for a few days and the calves are
back on feed with no problems. Luke
is also feeding In-Sure to his heifers
as a general precaution at a does of
1/4 tablespoon per day.
